HIGH PURITY RECOVERY

DEIONIZATION SYSTEM DESIGN

  • A dual train configuration with one cation and one anion resin column per train for 24/7 uptime
  • Supplied with pre-treatment components such as GAC columns and particulate filtration
  • Two chemical dosing systems are included to allow for in-plant regeneration of the resins
  • Fully adjustable chemical concentrations and volumes or dilution or rinse water flow rates are easily changed by simply inputting new values on the HMI, without the need for mechanical modifications
  • Deionized water is stored in a tank and is distributed to points of use using a pump with a constant pressure output, with a portion of the discharge recirculating through a UV system and back to the DI storage tank

SELECTIVE ION EXCHANGE / DE-CAT DESIGN

  • A three-column pair configuration with two selective resin columns in use at any time for 24/7 uptime.Resin columns are operated in series to improve efficiency and easy ion loading of the resin.Columns function on a lead/lag basis that places the freshly regenerated column in the “lag” position following the partially loaded “lead” column.This ensures complete exhaustion of the lead column while continuing to remove any leaked metal salts in the lag column.Each system is supplied with pre-treatment components such as GAC columns and particulate filtration.Two chemical dosing systems are included to allow for in-plant regeneration of the resins.

CYCLIC-IX RO WATER SOFTENING

  • This technology utilizes the wase brine solution from the Reverse Osmosis (RO) to regenerate the water softening resin
  • Only applicable for RO systems that utilize IX resins to soften the RO feed water

REKON SELECTIVE ION EXCHANGE

  • DeCat Systems: Ensure compliance when heavy metal discharge levels are stringent and provide selective polishing of targeted metal ions in treated effluent.
  • Kontek REKON De-Cat systems reduce metal contamination concentrations to 0.05 mg/l or lower in most cases. Systems operate in a 3-column carousel configuration with a worker and polisher in use at all times
  • The REKON De-Cat design places the freshly regenerated column in the polishing position following the partially loaded worker column. This ensures the highest level of polishing possible while maximizing the utilization of the resins’ capacities.
